Amazon, Google slam Microsoft’s cloud computing changes

An antitrust response could limit competition. On Tuesday, Amazon and Google criticized Microsoft’s cloud computing changes. They are saying that they are constantly limiting the competition and they also discouraging the customers from switching to rival cloud service providers. On Monday, the US software giant announced revised licensing agreements and also other changes. They also announced that it will take effect on October 1 and which it says will make it easier for the cloud service providers to compete. Alibaba, Amazon, Google and Microsoft’s own cloud services will be excluded from the deal.

Microsoft’s move came after the smaller European Union competitors took their complaints about its cloud service practices to EU antitrust regulators. And later that is asked the market players about the issue. Also they are asked that what impact they can felt after it. Amazon, the leading cloud service provider also followed by Microsoft and Google, was scathing in its criticism.

A spokesperson for its cloud service unit AWS said in an email that the Microsoft is now doubling down on the same harmful practices. They are doing this by implementing even more restrictions in an unfair attempt. They are doing this to limit the competition it faces. He also told that they are not listening to their customers. They also do not restoring the fair software licensing in the cloud for everyone.

For government affairs, the Google’s vice president and policy Google Cloud Marcus Jadotte was equally critical. He also told in a tweet that the promise of the cloud is flexible and the elastic computing without contractual also lock-ins. Jadotte also told that across the various platforms customers should be able to move freely. And they also can able to choose the technology that works best for their personal as well as official or other any purposes. He also told that rather than doing that, Microsoft also search which works best for them.
