New Connectivity Strategy Provides Better Digital Services Across NSW

The NSW Government is delivering on its commitment to improve digital connectivity, They are planning with the launch of the NSW Connectivity Strategy, they will improve the digital connectivity.

The NSW Telco Authority Managing Director Kylie D Courtney said the NSW Connectivity Strategy will ensure there is an integrated and collaborative, whole of government approach to digital connectivity initiatives. Also this ensure that people, businesses and emergency services are better connected across NSW. Ms De Courteney said that as a modern and customer-centric government, it is vital that they commit to digital inclusion. And also it ensures that the programs thay deliver will improve outcomes for customers, create a strong economy and build safer communities. The Connect NSW strategy will enable world-class, resilient and affordable connectivity, from addressing the digital divide between metropolitan centers and regional NSW to building smart city infrastructure in Sydney’s Western Parkland City.

Also, the NSW Connectivity strategy focuses on delivering results for three key customer groups. They are-

  • Emergency services agencies need mission critical communications to provide public safety services.
  • Government agencies that require connectivity for operational use as well as providing services to their customers.
  • Citizens and businesses across NSW rely on connectivity to effectively use digital government services as well as for wider social and commercial purposes.

The Connectivity Strategy, which is developed by the NSW Telco Authority is a comprehensive plan. It brings together whole-of-government connectivity initiatives under the common goal of creating better digital outcomes for consumers. NSW Telco Authority managing director Kylie D Courtney said the strategy would support the roll-out of connectivity programs by government agencies. It is also including the programs such as Regional Digital Connectivity. Ms De Courteney also told that the Regional Digital Connectivity program ensures that the businesses and families across regional NSW have better access to, internet, mobile and digital services. Ms De Courteney also told that the program includes the Gig State project. It is continuously working to improve internet connectivity, service, speed and quality for the most underserved rural and regional communities in the State. Digital connectivity creates more benefits as more people are connected. For example, by improving connectivity to a regional city, it can attract new businesses, accelerate the adoption of government digital services and drive higher standards of living.
